"I am thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at Fox News," Mrs Palin said in a statement on the network's website.

"It's wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news."

Fox's executive vice-president for programming, Bill Shine, said Mrs Palin had "captivated everyone on both sides of the political spectrum".

"We are excited to add her dynamic voice to the Fox News line-up," he added.

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAha.

I eagerly await the Stewart/Colbert take on this one.

God, I hope this isn't some long-term plan for 2012.

Just imagine Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck on the same ticket...

Holy crap I just realised - she wants to be president the year that's predicted to be when all the apocalyptic crap goes down! How's that for grandiose?

No. That's the year she gets elected, no?
She takes office 2013.

The lack of self-awareness is mindboggling.

"captivated everyone on both sides of the political spectrum".

Well that's true in a sense.

In the same sense that "Your father is dead, Luke" was true.

I wish to 'Like This' but LJ does not have that function.

In the same way that a circus clown blowing a donkey in the High Street might be considered 'captivating', yes.

I was thinking something like that, but you provided the poetic turn of phrase.

Bestiality? I think you mean Interspecies Erotica... and such.

BTW, I have stared downloading The Daily Show/Colbert again.
Their segments on gay marriage in New Jersey was the funniest thing ever.
Esp the guy who was claiming that Satan's Jews were behind it all.
He rocked.

If the household's download limit could stand it I'd be all over that.

One of the digital stations, ABC or SBS, has apparently started showing The Daily Show daily. Nice, if you watch digital.

I have no TV. And if I did, this house gets the worst reception of any place I've ever lived. So that's out.

All good. We reset in 2 weeks. I'll jump on the bandwagon then.

Strangely, set top boxes fuck up reception. I have no idea why.

Still, the DS website rawks for individual segments (http://www.thedailyshow.com/), like Lucas:

(serious, watch Clone Wars. It does, eventually, rock)

I watched the first minute or so. That is actually a pretty good interview. I tagged it. I'll watch it in a fortnight. :)

Clone Wars? Seriously?

It's okay. It drags towards the end.

Clone Wars? Seriously?

It's a slow burn show. Ignore the movie (Clone Wars, that is), and let the show breathe. Really. I have learned a lot. The Separatists are the good guys... the show pretty much avoids that -- but not completelty. Anakin rocks (I KNOW!) and his Padawan does stuff of interest.
The SW brand has had so much bad press since Jar Jar. Clone Wars is, oh-so-slowly, undoing that. Slowly.

RE his padawan - doesn't she make a 10-second appearance in the third film? Walk on, get offed, that's it?

But I'll look into it. Hell, why not?

OK, bed.

Not that I recall...similar look. IIRC that links more directly to the Clone Wars cartoon.

Let me warn you: Bombad Jedi... is not that bad.
But, you'll be on a flight to Europe. The first 60% of the first series is patchy. It improves, admittedly for what is implied but not said, but jesus... it is proper Star Wars in my book.

OK, bed.

3am eternal.
