Been getting a weird kind of tingly giddiness lately that comes and goes in rushes. Often punctuated by a quickly-peaking-then-dying rushing sound in the ears (as opposed to, say, the legs, I guess.) Mildly disorienting, feels weird, makes it a little difficult to concentrate. Can feel a little head-rushy I guess.

Does this sound familiar to anyone familiar with the effects of eyestrain?

That doesn't like any eyestrain I've ever had, which is more of the throbbing behind the eyes/blurry vision type.

That sounds like you're about to faint. Have you had your blood pressure tested lately?

No, but it'd be weird if that was it. My pressure and iron levels have always been really healthy.

Guess I'll just make an appointment with the GP. Nuts.

It could also be low blood sugar.

That'd be weird. But then, I don't get that much actual sugar nowadays.

What gets me is the ear thing. It's like when you pop your ears, but compressed into about a half-second, accompanied by a momentary mental and visual disconnect. Not uncomfortable, just unpleasant and a bit weird.

Sounds like something I've experienced off and on for years.
I passed out a couple of times years back. Doctors found zip.

Any sense of Deja-vu just before? (serious question, I always get powerful Deja-vu just before it starts)

Wow, that's interesting if nothing else. No deja-vu for me, just a quick sort of ear-pop, disorientation, and it's over.

I'll call the doctor, set something up.

Still, deja-vu? That's pretty special. Hard to believe they couldn't work out what it was.

Pfft, in my experience of the medical profession it's par for the course.

It happens once or twice a year, it lasts about 2 minutes at most and I'm fine afterwards. I imagine they'd have to be imaging or taking blood at just the right time, or the evidence is gone.
I'm not dead yet. And they did a scan to check for tumors etc (mind you, I had to ask that they do the scan, the doctor didn't seem to think it was necessary *boggle*)

The Deja-vu part is indeed special. But that's the brain for you.

Oh hey, yay for the internet. Deja-vu is an aura symptom for seizures.

My best guesses would be

1. Anxiety
2. Circulatory disorder
3. Horrible degenerative neurological condition
4. Nothing that will ever be diagnosed

This is, of course, my professional opinion as a medical receptionist.

Hmm.

1. I feel better than I have in years - symptoms notwithstanding.
2. I reckon that might be it.
3. Do you smell treacle?
4. Go science.
