My hacked WoW account

Blizzard account recovery is a Byzantine maze of hyperlinks that don't work, 404 errors, and users in Australia being funneled into cul-de-sacs.

If you're on Proudmoore and saw me running around, and if I was a jerk, it wasn't me.

IE at work doesn't update, so possibly this antiquated version is preventing me accessing customer support as well as I might otherwise. I'll take another crack at it when I get home.

But yeah, sorry if my rogue toon has done anything antisocial. Hopefully this'll be fixed soon.

I've never played WOW in my life, and the vast repository of knowledge I am tapping about it is, sadly, South Park, but is there any reason anyone would steal your character, other than for the lulz*?

Typically to run as a bot which "farms" certain stuff which is then turned into in game gold which is then sold for real monies to idiots with more money than sense.

In this case I suspect Furian is farming leather in Sholazar Basin (kill beasts, skin them, send the leather to the auction house).

I might just cast Summon Asteroid and be done with humanity.

I've always been more afraid of the recovery process than anything that might happen to my characters.

Glad to have the authenticator app on my phone now (which I only got for the corehound originally :)
