Of the stories submitted so far for this ghost story anthology (aimed at kids), mine and cavalorn's are the only ones that actually try to scare the everloving piss out of them. I've read Ade's synopsis and, frankly, I think we both earned our paycheques.

Also, stoked that we both get to be in the same book.

... but... but... why would you write a scary story for kids that isn't scary? There's nothing harsher than an 11-yr old girl on a "spooky" story that pulls its punches, and the rest of the ickle peeps are hardly kinder. There's a reason why people go "boo! peakaboo!" at babies, I suppose.

From what I understand most other people took a poignant route a la Gaiman, while a few might have played it for laughs.
